FAMILY FUN NIGHT IS BACK! 
Family Fun night will be held on Friday November 12th from 6-830 p.m. at Conackamack. Come have fun with your family! We'll have teacher Karaoke, Volleyball, Basketball, Board Games and an assortment of Silly Fundraisers... You'll have to come by to find out how silly! Hope to see you there.

It's almost time to go outside.... 
Hey PE students...we are about to embark upon a new activity, outside...THE MILE! Be ready to give it your best shot. Be prepared to go outside for a multitude of activities from now until November. We will be starting Cooperative Games soon, followed by Soccer, Football and Field Hockey. Make sure you have appropriate clothing for class (tip* if you are able... keep spare shoes and a sweatshirt in your gym locker in case of wet, chilly days).

FAMILY FUN NIGHT 
Welcome back from Spring Break...I hope you had a great time and enjoyed the wonderful weather this past weekend. Don't forget that this Friday, April 9th from 6:30-9:30 pm is Family Fun Night at Conackamack. We are going to have so much fun, and there are some things you won't want to miss....Especially duct-taping teachers to the wall and seeing others sing Karaoke too! Join us with your family this Friday...be sure not to miss out on the fun!!!

Don't forget to create your Black History Month poster. It is due this Friday Tues 2/12...pick an African American Athlete, and make a creative poster highlighting this athlete's life.

Hoops for Heart Survey....EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY 
Okay...so it's been a while since I have blogged last. My apologies, but this is a good one. Please go online and take the HOOPS FOR HEART survey. You can find it on Conackamack's home page in the top right corner. Not only will this help answer a few questions that myself and some students have about this past events demise...but you can earn 7 POINTS of extra credit this or next MP. PLEASE take it, it's important.

HOOPS FOR HEART 
We have jumped right into our December fundraiser for the AHA and will have our HOOPS FOR HEART event on 12/23. Please try and fundraise, and help contribute to this great cause...The link is on my main web page, so check it out. All fundraising is due on 12/18...so go out there and do your best. Remember how simple online fundraising is. We went over it in the tech lab this past Tuesday, but I would be more than happy to assist you again. Don't forget to sign up for the 3on3 tournaments and the shootouts for 12/23. This is gonna be fun, hope you all participate!

Field Day is next Friday 10/30 
Okay Conack'ers, next Friday, October 30th, is our annual Field Day! Get ready to go out there and represent your grade. WE have some awesome events planned. Please dresss appropriately for the weather that day for school, and have sneakers on so you are ready to participate. Field Day begins approximately at 12:25pm and goes till 2:25pm. At the conclusion of period 6, or at 12:25 you will get with your groups/group leader and head outside. At the end of field day you will head back in the building and get ready for dismissal. Please see your group leader for individual directions. This is gonna be awesome!

Football and Field Hockey begin next week 
Football and Field Hockey will begin next week, so dress warm....You will have a choice of either sport. Think hard about which one you will choose because you may NOT switch mid-unit.   Also...Don't forget that your extra credit for Hispanic American Heritage Month is due on OCTOBER 15th. This is a great opportunity to earn extra credit points for your grade. There are only three weeks left in the marking period!
