Dear Parents and Students,
I am happy to announce the launch of STAR Homework Club at Piscataway Public Library! STAR Homework Club provides structured time for Piscataway students in grades 6-12 to complete homework after school in the teen spaces at Kennedy (500 Hoes Lane) and Westergard (20 Murray Avenue) Libraries. The goal of STAR is to provide students with the necessary time, space, and resources to excel in school, and also to supplement their traditional
education with valuable outside of school learning opportunities.

With the start of the new school year, STAR meets every school day from 2:00-5:00 PM at both branches of Piscataway Public Library. On half-days, STAR will meet 12:00-3:00 PM. Study break activities will be offered 4:00-4:30 PM on select weekdays, and will include:
● Crafts
● STEM learning opportunities
● Research assistance programs
● Book discussions
● College/career chats
● And more!
Participants will receive access to valuable library resources, including research databases to assist with homework and other school projects. We are pleased to now offer access to
Brainfuse , which provides live tutoring sessions, online lessons, 24/7 help center, and so much more! Learn more about Brainfuse by visiting http://piscatawaylibrary.org/content/brainfuse .
Registration is now open for Fall 2017 STAR participants! To learn more, stop by the teen spaces at Kennedy or Westergard Libraries today, or contact me directly at
amcginley@piscatawaylibrary.org or 732-752-1166 ext 15.
Sincerely,
