Conackamack Middle School students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by researching Hispanic people who made significant contributions to history, culture, science, sports, and the arts! Altagracia Petela’s Pathways Spanish classes dressed up and shared what they learned and highlighted that individual’s impact on history and culture. This activity encouraged cultural awareness, appreciation for diversity, and strong research and presentation skills. Through this project, students gained a deeper understanding of Hispanic heritage and the importance of representation in shaping our world.
