Visitors give 6th-graders an inside look at NJ court system

Our sixth-graders just got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the New Jersey legal system!
Representatives from the New Jersey Courts visited all three of our middle schools to give our social studies and civics students a first-hand look at how justice works. But it wasn't just about gavels and robes – our students discovered that it takes a massive, diverse team to keep the gears of justice turning.
Students explored a wide range of career paths, including legal & judiciary clerks, case management & probation, information technology, finance & accounting, and court Interpreting.
A huge thank you to Luis Hernandez, Ombudsman for Middlesex County Family Courthouse, and Christopher Irovando, our K-8 Social Studies Supervisor, for organizing such an impactful experience for our students.
